Chinmaya Dunster

Chinmaya Dunster was born in England in 1954.
 In 1970, he practiced yoga and traveled to Afghanistan and
Thailand, guitar in hand. 
He falls in love with sarod, a sort of Indian banjo, and becomes one of the most
talented disciples 
of Amjad Ali Khan. 
He studied Indian classical music in Puna, while attending the
center of Osho, 
and is already interested in self-knowledge techniques (Feng Shui, meditation ...). 
His CDs produced by the label New Earth are of beautiful musical style:

 
Sacred temples of India 
Inspired by
India’s holy shrines and sacred lands, Sacred Temples of India points the listener 
to the honored space
within.

 Sacred sites, some natural, some human made, such as a shrine found 
under an enormous banyan
tree in Gir Forest, Gujarat state, 
to which Dunster travelled with tabla player Manish Vyas, 
the great
Chidambaram temple of south India 
and the magnificence of Mount Kailash, home of Shiva, 
inspired these
musical expressions.

Yoga on sacred Garden
The seven tracks aim to
evoke and stimulate the subtle energies of the seven chakras, 
details of which are given in the sleeve notes for
each of the tracks.

My own experience of Yoga dates back to the 1970s in Kent, England when, under the
guidance 
of an exceptional instructor (whose class I took over as a teacher under her encouragement 
when she
returned after three years to India). 
 In the years since, while continuing to practice the asanas
intermittently
